I just had the service bulletin with the 70c thermal bypass valve done three weeks ago at the dealer on my 17 Silverado 1500 5.3l 6spd. Put on about 1200 miles since then and the temps stay in the mid to upper 140’s now. I towed around 2500-3000 pounds for a few days and the temps stayed below 160.
