As such, the rural carrier associate can expect to work multiple mail routes. Employers also expect rural carrier associates to be available on very short notice.I have been working at the USPS for 6 months and the job itself is wonderful. It is the management that has made the job difficult. Although I have been there 6 months I am still fairly new and I have requested training and help to improve my knowledge of the job that my superiors have agreed to give me but will forget and when reminded have denied ever telling me they would help.
