I know a dermatology resident at my home institution who matched directly out of med school with a Step 1 score of 223.To any current derm residents who browse the thread: any regrets about choosing derm? I’m struggling a bit between derm and peds. I feel like I would be less likely to regret derm than peds in the future but wondering if anyone out there has thoughts on this. I really like both.Option A: derm elective in July --> away rotation in August. Option B: away rotation in July --> formal home rotations (not this 50/50 lecture/clinic elective) in August leading into September. I really need FaceTime with faculty for letters of recommendation, that is my primary concern. Not sure if the order matters in this case.
